WE WILL WORK TO:

DECREASE HOUSING INSTABILITY

TEACH CRITICAL LIFE MANAGEMENT SKILLS

REDUCE UNSHELTERD HOMELESS

TEACH HOW TO NAVIGATE THE SYSTEM TO MAXIMIZE AVAILABLE BENEFITS TO QUALIFYING POPULATIONS

We will be addressing the needs of vulnerable residents by using trauma-informed case management, family counseling, support services, benefits navigation, and life/financial coaching as well as assisting clients financially to stabilize the household to prevent homelessness. The program is being funded by the HOME-ARP Grant in partnership with the City of College Station.

Together, we can LEAD the way towards ending homelessness and creating a more inclusive, supportive community for all.

SMART Program

The SMART Program will bolster mental health awareness and support in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson and Washington Counties with a comprehensive outreach initiative. The SMART Program will provide education, resources, and services to children and families, right in their own neighborhoods, including:

  • School/Group Presentations: From mental health awareness to bullying prevention, building self-esteem to practicing self-care and self-worth.

  • Individual/Family Services: For those seeking additional support, we offer personalized guidance by appointment.

  • Family/Community Events: Outreach and engagement, including mental health awareness, impact of bullying, importance of self-care and nutrition in overall well-being, etc.

By engaging the community, we're fostering a culture of understanding, empathy, and empowerment.
