Director - Domestic Violence Services

This is an on-site full-time role based in Bryan, TX for a Domestic Violence Services Director. The Domestic Violence Services Director will oversee daily operations, ensure client safety, and provide support and advocacy for domestic violence survivors.  Responsibilities include managing staff, developing and implementing programs, and managing budgets. The director will also collaborate with community partners, conduct training sessions, and ensure all services comply with relevant regulations and standards.  The director is also responsible for writing and staying in compliance with appropriate grant funders.  Working under the Twin City Mission umbrella our DV program is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our community, while staying true to our values of Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Transparency and Empowerment

 

Qualifications

 

  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial planning

  • Skills in team leadership and staff training

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Experience in social services or a related field is a plus

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.

Coordinator of Outreach and Prevention - Domestic Violence Services

General Description: Serve as the DVS Program’s Coordinator of Outreach and Prevention in each of the seven counties we serve. Work to identify victims of domestic violence, raise awareness of available services, and work with Domestic Violence Task Forces in each of the counties in an effort to educate and reduce domestic violence.

Attend and participate in health/information fairs, meetings, or public events.

Approximately 70% travel within the Brazos Valley

 

Education/Licensure Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Prefer experience working with the public in a service-related position.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Professional and effective public speaking skills.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Access-type databases and be able to perform advanced data entry and administrative duties.

  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle for transportation to counties served, and be insurable by Agency insurance. Alternatively, the use of an agency vehicle is available.

 

Compensation:  Negotiable + fringe: occupational and liability insurance; Social Security; annual, sick, and holiday leave; life and health insurance; retirement plan (when eligible).

 

Hours: Full-Time, minimum 40 hours per week, generally 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Friday. On a rotating basis, serve as a member of the on-call team covering evenings and weekends.  At times, a flexible schedule is necessary to accommodatethe  needs of volunteers, community outreach and the program.
